The Hebrew University of Jerusalem requires all students, postdoctoral fellows and visiting researchers to be covered by adequate health insurance for the duration of their stay in Israel.
In order to expedite the post-arrival absorption process, we strongly recommend this be completed before your departure.
Please note that since Covid-19 Israeli embassies/consulates/visa centers now require to present proof of health insurance coverage when applying for a visa to Israel.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem recommends that you purchase the local Harel Yedidim insurance plan for HUJI students that provides extensive coverage for international students, who benefit from medical services across the country. The price for Rehovot campus students is 13.20 NIS a day and includes covid-19 coverage.
