All Hebrew University students and post-doctoral fellows who are not Israeli residents or citizens must have Israeli health insurance coverage while they are students at the Hebrew University.
The insurance can be arranged through the Hebrew University or independently.
Please note that Israeli embassies/consulates/visa centers require to present proof of health insurance coverage when applying for a visa to Israel.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem recommends that you purchase the local Harel-Yedidim insurance plan for HUJI students that provides extensive coverage for international students, who benefit from medical services across the country. The price for Rehovot campus students is 13.20 NIS a day.
